Tackling the critical issues facing District 1
Commerce Street Exit on I-55
Hernando is growing—and we need infrastructure that grows with us. He will fight to ensure the long-promised Commerce Street Exit on I-55 becomes a reality. This project is critical to easing congestion, supporting local businesses, and preparing DeSoto County for future economic growth.
Obtaining Infrastructure Investments for Roads and Sewer
Strong infrastructure is the backbone of a thriving community. He will work to bring home the state-level investments needed to improve roads, expand sewer systems, and support new development in District 1. These aren't just projects—they're essential upgrades that protect our quality of life and fuel long-term economic growth.
Fully Funding PERS (Public Employees Retirement System)
Mississippi's retirees deserve peace of mind. He is committed to fully funding the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), ensuring that the people who serve our communities—from teachers to law enforcement—can count on the retirement benefits they've earned.
Income Tax Elimination
Working families deserve to keep more of what they earn. He will support the responsible phase-out of Mississippi's state income tax—putting more money in your pocket, attracting new businesses, and making our state more competitive for future growth.
Reducing the Size of Government
He believes in limited government that works for the people—not bloated bureaucracy that wastes your tax dollars. He will work to streamline state agencies, cut unnecessary spending, and return power to where it belongs: with the taxpayers.
Eliminating DEI in Higher Education and Government Agencies
He will lead the charge to eliminate taxpayer-funded DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) programs in Mississippi's higher education institutions and government agencies. These divisive initiatives waste resources and promote ideology over merit. He will stand for fairness, unity, and accountability.
Supporting Life
He is unapologetically pro-life. He will support policies that protect the unborn, defend life at every stage, and ensure that Mississippi continues to lead the nation in standing for those who cannot speak for themselves.
